He is the President and co-owner of RSC Landscaping LTD. He is considered  by many to be the true backbone of the company. With over twenty years of experience, Rick has turned a sixteen acre farm into one of the largest and most well respected landscaping companies in Delaware. He has been featured in numerous magazines for his unique ability to create designs that truly transform his customer’s landscapes. The abundant knowledge he has accumulated over his career along with his continued education in the industry has allowed him to become one of the premier landscape designers in the region.

 

 

 

ssss Meet The Team - East Coast Garden CenterStephen Cordrey - Stephen is the Vice President and co-owner of RSC Landscaping LTD. He is known for his strong work ethic and ability to get things done. Stephen specializes in the operation of heavy equipment which is a vital component of the landscaping process. He has become an important part of the hardscaping team and has recently become Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute certified.

 

 

 

 

Val_Pic2 Meet The Team - East Coast Garden CenterValery Cordrey - Valery graduated from the University of Delaware. She is co-owner of the Cordrey Companies. Valery has over 30 years of experience and worked with the company since its beginnings in 1990. She helped develop and manage East Coast Garden Center. Valery was cohost of the gardening radio show The Delmarva Potting Shed for seven years and now hosts Facebook Live every Tuesday at noon at East Coast Garden Center. She was president of the Delaware Nursery and Landscape Association for the last two years. Valerys mission since the beginning was to make East Coast Garden Center a destination where people could enjoy the pleasures of gardening and be happy. 

 

 

 

Chris_Pic2 Meet The Team - East Coast Garden CenterChris Cordrey - Chris graduated from the University of Delaware in 2010 with degrees in both Marketing and Business Management. He is the Head of Operations for the landscaping division where he focuses on day to day operations. As a second generation family member, Chris helps to ensure the longevity of RSC Landscaping LTD. His “new school” way of thinking and business background has helped in bringing a fresh set of ideas on how to improve upon an already thriving business.

 

 

 


Corinne_Pic Meet The Team - East Coast Garden CenterCorinne Glenn - Corinne is the office manager at RSC Landscaping LTD. She is also on the Marketing Team for the company. Corinne studied at University of Delaware and Delaware Tech, and has over twenty years of experience in accounting and administration.

She is originally from Delmar, DE. Introduced to plants at a young age she worked for Salisbury University in the grounds department. She graduated from University of Delaware with a degree in landscape horticulture and plant biology. Katie is a certified nursery professional with a pesticide license. Married with two young children who share her love with nature. Fav. tree - Bald Cypress

 

 

 

 

Tom_Pic2 Meet The Team - East Coast Garden CenterTom Guertin - Tom is the Sales Manager here at East Coast Garden Center. He was born and raised in the town of Richboro Bucks County, PA. Spending 16 years in York, PA. Employed for 40 years in the graphic arts industry selling litho plates to commercial printers. He has spent 53 years as a volunteer with the boy scouts (4 years professionally). He considers himself semi-retired.

 

 

 

 

George_Pic2 Meet The Team - East Coast Garden CenterGeorge Malin Head Grower, Perennials & Shrubs - George began working for Chesapeake Nursery in 1968 and has been in the nursery industry since. He was the grower and Azalea expert at The Frank J. Smith Nursery in Millsboro for over 20 years. When George joined RSC in 2005, he started our shrub program which has now expanded to include 21 houses. George is our oldest employee and is easily identified by his white hair and beard that is older than most of us! Favorite Plant: Wax Leaf Privet

 

 

 

 

 

Mikalea_Pic2 Meet The Team - East Coast Garden CenterMikaela Keyek - Head Grower, Perennials & Shrubs Mikaela’s love for plants began with a high school agriculture class and grew from there. With a major in Plant Sciences from Penn State, she had the opportunity to intern with Longwood Gardens and Marshalls Riverbank Nursery before joining RSC in 2017. Outside of work, Mikaela and her husband enjoy walking their dogs, gardening, and working with their critters. Favorite Job: Propagating Plant Material
